Grief Gang Gets Grooving: Silent Disco

£20.00

Saturday 22 August | Hove Lawns

Grab your dancing shoes! The Grief Gang is heading to Hove Lawns for a silent disco like no other. Come from 1pm if you fancy a swim in the sea to kick things off, then we'll properly get grooving from 4pm. Meeting point on Hove Lawns to be confirmed closer to the date.

You'll get a pair of wireless headphones with (hopefully!) two channels to flick between, and we'll send round a request form nearer the time so you can help shape the playlist. Bring your own snacks and drinks, there are shops just up the road in Hove if you need to stock up.

We might relocate down to the seafront if we're feeling up for dancing on the pebbles - fair warning, it can be tiring underfoot as we don’t have a low tide to boogie on, so we'll play it by ear and see how everyone feels on the day.

This one's strictly 18+, and tickets are limited to 40, so don't sit on this too long.

Tickets: £20 (£15 for Grief Gang members — find your discount code in the membership platform)

If the weather's looking rough, we'll make the call on whether to cancel at the start of the week of the event, so keep an eye out for updates. If we do have to cancel, full refunds will be offered.

A quick word on footwear: if we relocate to the seafront, a sturdy shoe like trainers or boots is preferred for optimal dancing on the pebbles. If we stay on the lawns, do as you please, barefoot is always fun!

Come dance it out with people who get it, feel the music and feel FREE 🎧

New to silent disco? Here's what to expect:

Everyone gets a pair of wireless headphones tuned to the same channel(s), so you're all dancing to the same beat. But to anyone walking past, it just looks like a crowd having the time of their lives to nothing at all! Social anxiety who? Trust me when I say when you’re vibing to good tunes you really don’t give a hoot what anyone thinks- it’s truly freeing.

Feel free to flick between channels if we've got more than one going, and don't be shy about singing along loudly, nobody around you can hear themselves think either. A few things to hold in mind: headphones have a limited range, so try to stay within the group or you'll lose signal; battery will last the session but do flag it to a team member if yours starts dying; and if you fancy stepping out for a chat or a sit down, just slip them off — you'll still be very much part of the gang and experience.

For any questions or queries on refunds please email thegriefgang@gmail.com

I cannot wait to get down and boogey with my favourite people, The Grief Gang!

Big love,

Amber xx
